Launch Timeline
DragonSword: Awakening launches July 22, 2026 on Steam at $29.99 Standard and $49.99 Deluxe. The journey from Webzen-published live-service to Hound13 self-published package game followed a publishing contract dispute resolved in 2026. Over 200,000 Steam wishlists and top-50 demo concurrent players during Next Fest validated community interest.
Launch content includes 19 recruitable heroes, Orbis open world, co-op Battle for two players, three-player Raids, Tower of Trials, Hero Quests, and Rifts post-update. No microtransactions beyond announced costume and cosmetic Familiar DLC.
Post-Launch Priorities
Producer JYJ emphasized quality-of-life as top priority incorporating demo feedback. Four free heroes arrive H2 2026: Ryza first, then Jerome, Veronica, and Logan. Floating Island region prepares as large-scale update. See post-launch heroes and DLC details.
