DragonSword: Awakening How to Master Tag-Team Combat
Last updated: June 2026
Learn Status Ailment stacking, Signal Skills, and character switching for devastating combos.
Step 1: Learn Basic Ailment Application
Start with Castella applying Break and Stun using her axe skills. Each hero's active skills list which Status Ailments they apply — read the Basic Combat Text tutorial book in-game for fundamentals. Your goal is getting at least one ailment active before attempting Signal Skills.
Step 2: Trigger Signal Skills
Once ailments stack, press the Signal key for your active hero. Signal Skills deal burst damage and often reposition enemies for follow-ups. Lute follows Castella with Stun and Knockdown. Aria detonates with Fire and Airborne bombs launching groups airborne.
Step 3: Execute Tag Combos
Dodge into a skill meeting trigger conditions — a Tag Combo prompt appears. Press number 2 or click the HUD indicator to swap heroes and execute a Switching Signal. Chain multiple swaps before ailments expire for maximum style rating and DPS.
Common Mistakes
Swapping without active ailments wastes cooldowns. Ignoring Super Armor on elites prevents mount phases. Redundant triple-Stun teams lack Signal diversity — use our Team Builder to validate coverage.
